Considered a Draw

28th January 2012, SOAS Arena: SOAS FC started playing with only 10 players whereas the opposing team played with a full team with some more substitute waiting outside the field. Before the game started, there wes a clash in the jersey colour. While SOAS FC were still playing with its new red jersey, the opposing team were in mixed colours. Some wore black, white and even only leather.

At the first half of the game, the SOAS FC was shocked by the first encounter by the youngters of the opposing team. But SOAS FC managed to equalize it from the striker newly dad of his third kid, Cikgu Harlezam. But another mishap happend when out defender was caught in a non offside position where we were counter attacked which left the opponent trailing by a goal. Another equalizer from the SOAS FC was dome by another striker Cikgu Kairul. This results in the result a tie again of two scores even.

The third goal of the opponent was from an OG from our centre player not to mention any names, hehe.. but he tried really hard to make sure the ball did not enter the post. A very good well done job to him for trying really hard. Another goal from the opponent was not well remembered but it was considered an offside in which the goal was scores. But presumably for the SOAS FC was no goal for the visiting team.

Tries was made many times but the luck was still not on SOAS FC side until when the referee gave a penalty kick for the home team whereby the midfielder was pushed when he was trying to shoot the ball. The penalty was perfectly done by the midfielder himself. With this, the socored was considered a tie even though the home team was playing with only nine players.

We hope that this new month of Februaly, SOAS FC will start to develop the winning season with the SOAS FC great players. Because "Jangan ikut umur, pengalaman mau tau".

Lost again in the last two games

19th & 24th January 2012, SOAS Arena: Our team lost again in the last two games against the mixed veterans and the HKA Team with scores of 2 -3 and 1 - 4. Hopefully in the next game this Saturday we will have a chance to either draw of win.

NEW JERSEY ENDED IN A DEFEAT.

17th January 2012, SOAS arena: New jersey of the red with three yellow stripes ended in a defeat of 1 goal to 4. The only successor who scored for SOAS FC comes in the 10th minute from the tall right defender, Cg Yusri to equalize the score. Because of the dininishing line of the SOAS arena field, the referee was unable to distinguish if the ball is out or not. Furthermore, few more scored was delivered to the SOAS FC goal post and ended in the final score of 1 - 4.

Even though, SOAS FC players was working very hard in terms of scoring and defending, chances was considered a lot for the team to score but was unlucky. Some players said that the goal post was too small (in other words the shot on goal was far from the target - hehe -).

From this game, some players got injured. So hopefully for the players who were injured, be fit and come again to the next game.

Pertandingan Go-Kart (Push Cart).

19hb November 2011; Sekolah Menengah Sayyidin Hussain, Mukim Sengkurong telah mengadakan perlawanan Go-Kart berunsurkan tolakan (push-kart). Yang menyertai pertandingan tersebut terdiri dari sekolah-sekolah menengah, maktab dan juga pusat tingkatan enam.

Hanya sebagai ristaan bersama adalah binaan go-kart dari kayu-kayu bekasan (recycable materials) dan juga sedikit barang-barang yang perlu dibeli dari kedai-kedai hardware.

Walaupun pasukan dari Maktab SOAS tidak memenangi apa-apa hadiah walau bagaimanapun, usaha dari pasukan Maktab terutamanya dari penentut yang menyertai pertandingan tersebut mendapat pengalaman yang mungkin akan berguna untuk mereka pergunakan dimasa akan datang.

PINTU GERBANG MAKTAB SOAS 2011 SEMPENA HARI KEPUTERAAN KDYMM KE-65 TAHUN

Serba sedikit mengenai sejarah pembinaan gerbang oleh mantan guru Maktab SOAS bermula dari tahun 80'an

Adalah sejarah awal gerbang Maktab SOAS bermula dari kemahiran seorang mantan tenaga pengajar Maktab SOAS yang telah pencen pada pertengahan abad ke-20 telah menghasilkan kreativiti beliau untuk memeriahkan lagi sambutan hari keputeraan KDYMM dengan bentuk, warna dan cucul yang indah dipandang siang dan malam. Dengan adanya kemahiran ini, beliau telah berjaya mengajar banyak kepada guru2 muda yang baru hendak belajar dalam kemahiran ini. Bukan saja pembinaan gerbang ini kemahiran beliau. Akan tetapi ada banyak lagi seperti melukis, memburis perahu & bermain sepak takraw .Walaupun beliau tidak lagi bekerja di maktab ini, dengan hasil kerja tangan dan usaha yang ditinggalkannya di maktab telah memberikan inspirasi dan semangat kepada guru2 maktab.

Pertandingan Pintu-Pintu Gerbang bagi Sekolah-Sekolah & Maktab-Maktab Bagi Daerah Brunei Muara 2011

27hb Julai 2011 menandakan hari bersejarah lagi buat Maktab SOAS atas kemenangan berturut pembinaan pintu gerbang sempena Hari Keputeraan KDYMM yang ke-65 tahun. Atas dorongan dan usaha guru2 yang telah memberikan tenaga & buah fikiran, hasil dari itu telah menberi kayakinan lagi untuk melakukannya lagi di tahun depan.

Bagi pihak editor ingin merakamkan terima kasih kepada tenaga2 mengajar (Cikgu Haji Iman, Cikgu Yardi, Cikgu Malai Haji Rafaiee, Cikgu Ramli, Cikgu Salmi Jan, Cikgu Arshad, Cikgu Nurhidayah, Cikgu Hjh Rubiah, Cikgu Salleh Kadir, Cikgu Rusdi, Cikgu Yusran & Cikgu Azreen) dan bukan mengajar (Ariffin) Maktab SOAS atas keberhasilan dalam memenangi tempat pertama pada tahun ini.
