SOAS Arena: 1st May 2010: In this game, the home team was visited by the away team from the PABIKA FC. As the players noticed, most of the away team players were young and comprises of SOAS and X-SOAS students. Eventhough they are not really experience but their speed of attack was very job well done. But we have also a winger with good speed that is Ustaz Haslin. With him around, it is easier for the defender and the midfield players to pass the ball. With his passing as an assists, many opportunities was given but luck was not in our side. Unfortunately no scored was eliminated by them in the 1st half. Same for SOAS FC, some goals would have been achieve but because of the condition of the field made us very difficult to play. The game was leveled scoreless in the 1st half.
During the 2nd half of the game, the home team had many opportunities as well as the visiting team. But with the good performance of the SOAS FC goal keeper which he mostly saved the post from attacks of the visiting team. A very good job well done. To the defenders, also a very good communication within our players, eventhough one of our defender, jersey 20 was toppled over with face first on the ground. Around 15 minutes after the first half whistle was blown, SOAS FC managed to score its goal through a very high ball but just a few feet from the goal post. You can say a very lucky opportunity and very well eliminated.
The final whistle blows with the result in a win for SOAS FC with one to nill. Eventhough SOAS FC during that game was lack of star players like Cikgu Arshad (MessiMan), Cikgu Yusri Tuah, Cikgu Hajis, Cikgu Md Arizal and Ustaz Shahroni, SOAS FC still managed to win the game. Congrats to the players playing that day and hope with the star players available in the next game we will be more superior in controlling the game.
Scorer: Ustaz Shahrul (1).
